
“Measures such as issuing a statement and holding protest rallies following the desecration of the Quran are effective, but legal redress for such attacks by enemies must be done through a more formal channel such as an international union of Quran reciters,” Seyed Abbas Anjam told IQNA in an interview.
Referring to the recent foreign-backed riots in Iran, during which mosques and copies of the Quran were desecrated, he said the recent bitter incidents, especially the desecration of the Quran and the attacks on holy places and mosques, are a sign of the enemy’s Islamophobia, Iranophobia, and of course Shiaphobia, which is not new and will not end with this case.
“Rest assured that the enemy is preparing other sinister plans to continue this audacity and aggression.”
What has caused these aggressions and attacks to become more apparent in recent incidents is that, in the words of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, this hostility has taken on a naked form in the current situation, and in other words, the enemy has drawn its sword in confronting everything that endangers its existence and position, he stated.

Anjam hailed the Iranian people’s condemnation of the recent terrorist incidents, saying it indicates the deep connection of the people with the Quran and the word of revelation.
He urged that everyone should also strengthen their relationship with the Quran. “Of course, now it is no longer enough to simply read the Quran, but through reading the Quran, we must reach the stage of understanding in order to act on the teachings of the Quran.”
