
Vladimir Putin on Sunday sent a message of condolences to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian over the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
He offered condolences to the Iranian government and people over the tragic loss.
Putin called the US-Israeli attack that led to the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution as a violation of all norms of human ethics and international laws.
He also that Ayatollah Khamenei would always be remembered in Russia as a prominent statesman who played a significant role in developing friendly relations between Moscow and Tehran and elevating the existing relations to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership.
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with a number of top military commanders, was martyred in a US-Israeli attack on his office in Tehran on Saturday morning.
