In an interview with IQNA, Mohamed Ali Jabin said it will be a “cultural defense of the Islamic resistance and the people of Iran.”
The announcement comes in response to a recent video clip by the well-known Kuwaiti qari Mishari Rashid al-Afasi in which he tried to justify the US-Israeli aggression on Iran and criticized Iran’s retaliatory strikes.
The work he said will produce shows that the axis of resistance is not only present in the field of politics and military combat, but also in the field of Quranic art, inspirational recitation, and defending the truth.
He mentioned Quran recitation and Ibtihal as a spiritual weapon against soulless and distorted recitation, saying the Quran must be recited with faith, not for money.
He said there is no doubt that the enemies of Islam, including the infidels, Zionists, and polytheists in the US and Israel, are constantly attacking the Islamic resistance in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Lebanon, and Yemen.
He condemned al-Afasi’s remarks against Iran, and said no country in the world resists injustice and aggression like the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“We in Egypt have no affinity to this qari or his beliefs. Egyptians generally reject this aggression and injustice against Iran,” Jabin stressed.
He noted that the people of Egypt love Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) and that they have been at war with the Zionist-imperialist regime of Israel.
