IQNA – Constant-Serge Bounda, minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Congo, paid tribute to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei, praising his legacy of resilience and support for oppressed nations while expressing the solidarity of the Congolese people with Iran.

Speaking on the sidelines of the funeral ceremonies in Tehran, Bounda said the Republic of Congo has always stood alongside its friends, emphasizing that respect for the peoples of the world remains a guiding principle of the country's foreign policy.

He described the late Leader's greatest legacy as inspiring oppressed peoples across the globe and demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity.

The Congolese foreign minister added that President Denis Sassou Nguesso, whom he described as "a great statesman and a committed Pan-Africanist," had instructed him to convey the full solidarity of the people of the Republic of Congo to the Iranian nation.
