“Transmission of Faith, Christians and Muslims” Forum in France

A forum titled “Transmission of Faith, Christians and Muslims” is underway in Lyon from November 29 and will conclude today, December 1.


According to lermf website, Muslim and Christian leaders have gathered for the third time in Lyon to discuss commonalities between Islam and Christianity and to investigate methods for strengthening friendship and understanding among followers of the two Divine religions.



Bishop Dubost, President of the Council for Inter-Religious Relations, and Daleel Boubakir, president of the French Council of the Muslim Faith and director of Paris Grand Mosque were the two eminent figures present at the opening ceremony of the forum.



They talked about interfaith dialogue in the current situation of France and how the religious beliefs are transmitted in different parts of the country.



The participants also discuss the introduction of religious teachings at Islamic and Christian schools of the country and the role of family, schools, internet, books, and media in clarification of such teachings.



At the end of the program, Muslim and Christian youth participating at the forum will exchange their experiences in teaching of religious issues in France.
