TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Yemeni political activist said the Islamic Revolution of Iran revived the power of Islam and foiled the plots hatched by the world arrogance in the region and world.

Sayyed Sadeq al-Sharafi

Addressing a webinar titled “Islamic Revolution Discourse; Software of Resistance in World”,  Sayyed Sadeq al-Sharafi said the Ten Days of Fajr (dawn) have been rightfully named because they are days in which God granted dignity, magnificence and power to Islam.

The online seminar was held Tuesday morning by International Quran News Agency (IQNA) on the occasion of 43rd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.

Al-Sharafi noted that during these days back in 1979, Imam Khomeini returned to Iran to establish an Islamic Republic whose laws and principles are based on Islam’s teachings.

He said the victory of the revolution demonstrated that the era of hegemony in the world is over.

He also said that the hegemonic powers, including the US, have since the beginning tried to destroy the principles and foundations of the revolution but failed in all their attempts.

The Islamic Revolution remains strong and persistent on its path toward desired aspirations, he added.

Al-Sharafi also congratulated Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and scholars and clerics as well as resistance front leaders and all the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of anniversary of Islamic Revolution’s victory.

Every year, millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.

The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran (February 1 this year) marks the beginning of the Ten Day Fajr (dawn), which culminates with rallies on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11.

The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 43 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.

The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
