Special Programs at Imam Reza Holy Shrine Mark Birth Anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS)

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Today marks the birth anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS), the son of Imam Reza (AS), and diligent servants of Imam Reza holy shrine in Mashhad have brought happiness and smell of celebrations for all Iranian and foreign visitors and pilgrims by hoisting colorful flags and beautiful flower arrangements in all courtyards and porticos.

Imam Reza holy shrine has planned special programs for thousands of arriving pilgrims who have come to congratulate Imam Reza (AS) and to commemorate birth anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS).

Imam Khomeini portico hosts celebrations of the night of the birth anniversary with religious speeches of salient clergymen describing the ninth Imam’s qualities and merits. The lectures are accompanied by joyful recitations of a group of famous Iranian panegyrists. Pilgrims and visitors in other parts of the shrine will enjoy Imam Khomeini portico’s ceremonies through the shrine’s topnotch audio system.

Part of the special programs including religious speeches, recitations and other happy gatherings are underway and they will be continued up to the night.

Almost all special programs of Imam Jawad (AS) birth anniversary at the holy shrine go live on air thanks to the cooperation between IRIB and Audiovisual Management Office of Imam Reza holy shrine.

Imam Jawad (AS) is the ninth of the twelve Imams (AS) after his father Imam Reza (AS) and before his son Imam Hadi (AS). His birth anniversary has always been considered as a great occasion by Shia Muslims for coming to Imam Reza holy shrine to congratulate birthday anniversary of his son.
