The event was inaugurated at the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University with the cooperation of Iran’s cultural center in Kazakhstan.
University President Yerlan Sydykov, Iranian ambassador to Nur-Sultan Majid Samadzadeh, and Iranian cultural attache in the country Ali Akbar Talebi-Matin were among the officials attending the opening ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, Sydykov hailed the “friendly” relations between the two countries, pointing to the commonalities between the two nations as well.
He said that Tehran and Nur-Sultan will mark the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations this year.
Meanwhile, the Iranian ambassador said that cooperation between the two countries is expanding in various fields and this exhibition is a manifestation of cultural ties.
The exhibition showcases the works of Iranian artist Mohsen Ebrahimi who has held several galleries in various countries around the world, he added.
Ebrahimi was the next speaker who provided a brief explanation of the Iranian art of calligraphy, especially the moalla script.
A workshop was also held on the sideline of the exhibition.
The L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University is a Kazakh national research university and the largest institution for higher education in Nur-Sultan.
