Quran Publishers Association of Pakistan Hails Int’l Quran Calligraphy Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Quran Publishers Association of Pakistan lauded an international Quran calligraphy competition planned to be held sometime in coming months.

King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran in Medina

 

The association’s president, Qudratullah, chairman Syed Ahsan Mahmood Shah and chief patron Hafeez-ul-Barakat Shah praised the move.

Addressing a meeting on Tuesday, they termed it a welcome and faith-building measure which would raise the standards of Quran calligraphy in the world.

They said it will also promote the skills, capacities and cooperation among calligraphers, and make them benefit from each other's experiences.

They urged the government to facilitate the calligraphers of Pakistan to participate in this competition, to serve the Quran and bring laurels for their country.

The King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran in Medina, Saudi Arabia, plans to organize the international competition on Kitabat Al-Quran (Quranic calligraphy).

It is aimed at identifying top talents in the field of Quranic calligraphy.
