TEHRAN (IQNA) – Resurrection and life after death are issues that have been emphasized in religious teachings. Surah Qaaf is one of the Holy Quran’s chapters that answers questions raised by those who consider life to be limited to this world and deny the hereafter.

Surah Qaaf

Qaaf is the name of the Quran’s 50th chapter, which has 45 verses and is in the 26th Juz. Qaaf is Makki and the 34th Surah revealed to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

It begins with the letter Qaaf (an Arabic letter) and hence the name of the Surah.

Resurrection, the surprise of unbelievers when they see the return to life of the dead, as well as prophethood, monotheism, and the power of God are among the subjects mentioned in this chapter.

It points to Islam’s call and what it includes, such as resurrection. The Surah provides answers to the questions raised by deniers and warns them that if they refuse to take the path of guidance, it will lead to their destruction.

The Surah proves God’s infinite power and knowledge by citing examples such as creation of heavens and earth, adornment of the sky with stars, extension of the earth and creation of mountains, growth of plants, sending water from sky and reviving the earth with it.

It then refers to mankind, noting that his life and actions are precisely recorded since the day he is born until he dies and describing what will happen to him after he is resurrected. The Surah notes that on the Day of Judgment, all his deeds are assessed and based on that, he either will be among the good-doers and go to paradise or will be among evil-doers and go to the fire of hell.
