Quran Recitation Contest for Children Starts in Oman

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A contest on the Holy Quran recitation has started in Oman for children aged between 10 and 16.

 

The event has been organized by Shabiba TV and Shabiba FM in partnership with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Bank Muscat this Ramadan.

The contest seeks to motivate children to master the reading and recitation of the Holy Quran.

Children are invited to register their participation in the contest by whatsapp to 93852823 along with their full name, copy of birth certificate and also a brief one minute video recording sample of their recital of verses from the Holy Quran by 1’st April 2023.

The chosen candidates will be invited to the Shabiba FM/TV studio in Al Khuwair, where the contest will be conducted and winners will be selected on merit by a distinguished panel.

The video recordings of the rendering will be shared on Shabiba TV and other social media platforms of Shabiba.

The winners will be awarded cash prizes – OMR400 as first prize, OMR300 as second prize, OMR200 as third prize and OMR 100 as fourth prize.

The contest is yet another offering from Muscat Media Group that has been initiating similar feel good ventures over the years and promises to generate great enthusiasm and help spread awareness and spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
