‘Government of Shame’: French MP Decries Macron for Complicity in ‘Massacre’ of Palestinians
Thomas Portes, a member of the left-wing opposition France Unbowed (FLI) party, said on X that the Israeli regime gave only one hour for patients and displaced people to leave the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, where dozens of babies are in critical condition.
“Attacks are also increasing in the West Bank against civilians by settlers. Israel is waging a colonial war to eradicate the Palestinians,” he wrote.
The lawmaker then turned to a recent visit of French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu to the occupied territories and his meeting with the Israeli minster of military affairs Yoav Gallant.
“The (Emmanuel) Macron government is complicit in the massacre of the Palestinian people organized by Israel. Government of shame,” he stressed.

The occupation regime launched a military operation against the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, after the Palestinian resistance group Hamas launched a surprise operation dubbed Al-Aqsa Flood against occupied territories.
According to Palestinian sources, Israeli air and ground strikes have killed at least 12,300 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and destroyed thousands of buildings, including hospitals, mosques and churches.
