Imam Ali Mausoleum Hosting Mourners on Hazrat Zahra Martyrdom Anniversary

IQNA – A large number of pilgrims attended mourning rituals at the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Iraq, on the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA).

The pilgrims, who were from different parts of Iraq as well as other countries, took part in the mourning ceremonies on Wednesday evening and on Thursday.

They listened to elegy recitations and religious speeches delivered by prominent clerics.

The holy mausoleum’s walls have been covered in black on the sad occasion.

Shia Muslims and others in different parts of the world hold rituals every year on the third day of the month of Jumada al-Thani in the lunar Hijri calendar to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA), the beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
