Anas Allan, who is from Qalqilya in the western part of the West Bank, exposed the harsh and inhuman conditions of prisoners in the Israeli regime’s jails and emphasized that after the Gaza war, the prisons have turned from places of imprisonment into graves, Quds Press reported.
Allan, who had been sentenced to life imprisonment was released after 19 years of captivity in the “Tufan al-Ahrar 3” agreement. He said that the Zionist prison administration ruled with an iron fist after the start of the genocidal war on Gaza.
He explained that the prison guards have become absolute rulers who take orders directly from Ben-Gwer (Israeli minister of internal security) and Smotrich (Israeli minister of finance).
Regarding the desecration of sacred things in Israeli prisons, Allan explained that the Israeli prison administration has committed serious violations, including throwing copies of the Quran in the toilets, preventing the call to prayer and collective and individual prayers, threatening to confiscate prayer rugs.
Regarding the living conditions in the prisons, this Palestinian freedom fighter pointed out that hot water has been completely cut off in crowded rooms where between 17 and 18 prisoners live, and prisoners can only take a shower for 15 minutes a day.
Regarding the policy of deliberate starvation, Allan noted that the meals are not enough and that one meal consisting of two plates of rice and a piece of bread is given to 12 prisoners, which leads to the prisoners losing half their weight and causing serious illnesses among them.
He also spoke about the policy of complete isolation and quarantine, which prevented prisoners from leaving the prison for weeks and months, and lines were drawn on the ground to prevent them from communicating with each other. Those who violated these instructions were punished and beaten.

Allan, emphasizing that what happened in the occupation prisons after the Gaza war is a systematic crime against Palestinian prisoners, called for the immediate intervention of human rights and humanitarian organizations to end this situation.
Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist regime, with the support of the United States and Europe, has committed genocide, murder, starvation, destruction, displacement and detention of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and ignored international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop the Gaza war.
The genocide has left more than 238,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
Hundreds of thousands have also been displaced, and famine has claimed the lives of many, most of them children. It has also led to the complete destruction and erasure of most of the cities and areas of the Gaza Strip.
