The competition concluded in a ceremony in Hamedan on Friday.

The text of President Pezeshkian’s message is as follows:

Holding the ‘Mudha Mattan’ Quran contest is honoring and promoting Quranic culture and the people of the Quran in this land of science and knowledge. The Holy Quran, as an eternal book of guidance and a manifestation of the miracle of revelation, is a beacon for humans in their individual and social lives, and reciting, pondering, and acting on its teachings are considered the highest path for the spiritual and moral development of the young generation.

As we read in the Quran: “Indeed, this Quran guides unto that which is straightest,.” Therefore, the ultimate goal of holding such competitions is to acquire the moral and spiritual values and virtues derived from this Holy Book.

The 17th edition of this contest, which is being held this year with the bright slogan of “The Festival of Verses,” hosted by (Hamedan), and centered around mosques and neighborhoods, is a manifestation of the widespread public activity in promoting Quranic culture and spirituality in society, and the role of mosque centers in educating and cadre-building young and faithful forces in this constructive field is commendable.

The new initiative of this group competition provides a basis for strengthening cooperation, empathy, and the development of group skills among participants, and is considered an innovative experience in Quranic education and competition. This innovation will strengthen the connection between Quranic education and teamwork, as well as the sense of responsibility and collective participation in adolescents and young people, especially in neighborhoods.

It is hoped that this valuable and spiritual movement will inspire future programs of centers and pave the way for the promotion of Quranic culture in neighborhoods and throughout society, and will pave the way for the spiritual and moral growth of the country’s adolescents and young people even more than before.

We believe that a society that has a deep connection with the Quran will be a strong, healthy, just, and full of hope. In the field of general culture, if we are seeking peace in families and trust and empathy in society, and if we want our dear youth to build the future with hope and empowerment, the way to do so is to resort to the teachings of the Quran and keep the spirit of the Quran alive in behavior, decisions, and social life.

In conclusion, I would like to express my gratitude to all those involved in organizing this valuable event who, with their sincere efforts, have perfumed the atmosphere of society with the spiritual verses of the Quran and provided the cause of hope, joy, and Quranic motivation for the young generation. I ask God Almighty to grant us all the success in acting on the Quran and instilling Quranic ethics.”
