Three Days of National Mourning Declared in Iraq after Ayatollah Khamenei’s Martyrdom

IQNA – Following the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Iraqi government announced three days of public mourning across the country on Sunday.

The Baghdad government also extended condolences to the noble people of Iran and the Islamic Ummah over this tragic loss.

In a statement, the Iraqi government’s spokesperson expressed profound sorrow and grief, US and Israeli attack that led to the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei as a clear act of aggression and a reprehensible operation that violates all human and moral norms and constitutes a flagrant breach of international laws and conventions.

Meanwhile, senior Iraqi Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr issued a statement offering condolences to the Muslim world on the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
