IQNA – An exhibition of manuscripts of the Holy Quran has been launched at the National Library of Morocco.

An exhibition of manuscripts of the Holy Quran was launched at the National Library of Morocco on March 12, 2026.

 

According to its information website, on Thursday, March 12, the library witnessed the opening of the exhibition of rare manuscripts of the Holy Quran in the presence of a group of political, cultural figures, researchers and artists.

In this exhibition, a collection of valuable manuscripts of the Quran kept in this library have been put on display to the public.

The expo, held on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, will continue until the end of March.

It reflects the art of writing and layout of the Holy Quran throughout the centuries in Morocco.

The aim of this exhibition is to introduce the efforts that have been made by Moroccan rulers, scholars, jurists and artists over the centuries to serve the Holy Quran.

The manuscripts related to the sultans are one of the most important parts of this exhibition. Visitors are also introduced to examples of Mus’haf Mohammadi from the tablets of the country’s Maktabs (traditional Quran schools), and multimedia and photo sections have also been set up in this exhibition.

Part of this exhibition is dedicated to the copies of the Holy Quran published during the reign of the current monarch.

In his speech at the opening of this exhibition, Mohammed Al-Mahdi Ben Said, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication of Morocco, said this exhibition is not only a place to display old manuscripts, but also to honor and commemorate the efforts that have been made over the centuries to serve the Quran and write it in the most beautiful way in this land.
