In Tehran, the ceremony was organized with the presence of mourning groups from the Jomhouri (Republic) Square to the office of the late Leader, where he was martyred in a US-Israeli strike on February 28.
The central slogan of today’s events is “The Bi’tha of Blood, Arbaeen of the Martyr Leader of the Islamic Revolution”.
People mourning the martyrdom of the Leader of the nation, from all walks of life and groups, often in families, holding pictures of the martyred Leader and Iranian flags and Hezbollah’s flags, called for revenge for the blood of the Leader, his commanders, and his fellow countrymen.
They also mourned the over 170 school children killed in the enemy’s strike on an elementary school in Minab, south of Iran on February 28.
Along the mourning route, eulogists recited elegies while prayer stations gave spiritual color and fragrance to the paths leading to the office of the martyred Leader by playing the sound of the Quran.
The placards held by some mourners of the martyred Leader read: "Hussein (AS) Hussein is our motto, martyrdom is our honor", "Leader, we have sworn to defend the Islamic Republic of Iran after your martyrdom", "The most compassionate Leader in the world, we miss you until the Day of Judgment", "My life is for the Leader", "Not accepting the ceasefire in Lebanon is a betrayal of Islam", "The American base must be either evacuated or destroyed", "All these armies have come for the love of the Leader", "Ya Hussein (AS)", "Ya Zahra (SA)", "Allahu Akbar", "We will stand by the system and the revolution until the last drop of our blood", "Death to America", "Death to Israel".
