From Gaza to Lebanon: Doctor Says Israeli War on Healthcare Is A Deliberate Policy
The surgeon who has worked in both Lebanon and Gaza has slammed Israel for pursuing a "consistent policy" of targeting healthcare workers.
Speaking to Al Jazeera, Dr. Tahir Mohammed, a surgeon with field experience in Lebanon and Gaza, has stated that Israel's repeated attacks on medical personnel constitute a deliberate and consistent policy, dismissing Israeli claims that Hezbollah uses ambulances for military purposes.
Dr. Mohammed said he had seen "absolutely no" evidence to support Israeli allegations that the Lebanese resistance movement operates weapons transports through ambulances or other medical vehicles.
The surgeon cited multiple incidents in southern Lebanon where ambulance crews and aid workers were reportedly prevented from reaching wounded civilians.
He also referred to events in the Gaza Strip, where Palestinian ambulance workers were killed while attempting to retrieve injured people.
"I have personally seen colleagues in Gaza killed by Israeli attacks," Dr. Mohammed said.
He noted that the pattern of targeting healthcare workers reflects a deliberate and consistent policy rather than isolated incidents.

The Israeli regime has repeatedly claimed that Hezbollah is operating within civilian infrastructure, including medical facilities and ambulances. The group and all involved medical personnel have consistently rejected these baseless claims.
Dr. Mohammed's comments add to growing international concern over the safety of healthcare workers in conflict zones, particularly in light of recent escalations along the Lebanese border and the ceasefire violations in Gaza.
