TEHRAN (IQNA) – Egyptian Qari Ahmed Ahmed Noaina has recently recited verses from Surah al-Muzzammil of the Holy Quran in one breath.

A video of his recitation of verses one to four of the Surah “” has been released.

Al-Muzzammil is the seventy-third chapter of the Quran, containing 20 verses. Al-Muzzammil takes its name from the reference to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), in his cloak praying at night, in the opening verses of the Surah.

Born in 1954 in the town of Matubas in Kafr El Sheikh governorate, Noaina started learning the Quran at a traditional Quran school at the age of 3.

He managed to memorize the entire Quran at 8 and continued to learn the rules of Tajweed and Quran recitation.

While at university, he gained mastery over the ten styles of Quran recitation and in 1979 became an official Qari of Egypt’s national TV and radio.

Noaina is a top Qari who has recited the Holy Book in international events in Egypt for decades.

He has recited the Quran before many heads of Muslims states, including kings, presidents and prime ministers.

That is why he is known as Qari al-Muluk (Qari of kings), though he does not like the title very much.

In addition to being a Qari, he is a memorizer of the entire Quran and a physician by profession.
