Palestinian Group Condemns Zionist PM UAE Visit
In a statement, the movement condemned that the visit and the Emirati officials’ welcoming of the Zionist delegation, noting that the normalization of ties with occupiers is a betrayal of Palestinian nation, PalToday reported.
Welcoming Bennet in UAE leads to strengthening the criminal regime’s security, efforts to legitimize its fake existence, and whitewashing the crimes of the occupation against the innocent Palestinian people, said the statement.
Bennet arrived in UAE on Sunday upon the official invitation of Emirati Prince Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
This is the first official visit of a Zionist PM to UAE after the signing of the so-called Abraham Accords.
Israeli foreign minister Yair Lapid paid a visit to the Persian Gulf country in June to become the first Zionist official who has visited the UAE.
The sides have signed several documents to increase bilateral ties since the inking of the Abraham Accords.
The occupying regime of Israel has started plans to normalize ties with Muslim countries in the region. The UAE, Bahrain, and Sudan were among the countries that inked the so-called Abraham Accords with the regime, aimed at normalization of ties.
Palestinian groups and people have condemned the normalization as a stab in the back.
