6th Quran, Adhan Competition of Northern Europe Slated for February

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The sixth edition of the Quran and Adhan (call to prayer) competition for Muslims in Northern Europe will be held in February.  

The Imam Ali (AS) Islamic Center in Stockholm, Sweden, will host the contest from February 24 to 26, 2023.  

It will be held in the categories of Quran recitation, memorization, Adhan recitation and Quranic concepts.

Qaris, memorizers and Adhan reciters from different European countries are expected to the take part in the competition.

The call for registration and more information about the Quranic event will be published on the website of the center and its social media pages soon.

The closing ceremony of the fifth edition of the contest was held at the center on Eid Al-Ghadir this year where the top contenders were announced and awarded.

The Imam Ali (AS) Islamic Center holds various religious and cultural programs throughout the year. 

It is an independent religious association founded by a group of Shia Muslims in 1997. The center maintains regular activities such as daily communal prayer, Friday prayer and other religious and cultural celebrations that interest Muslims, especially Shia, in Scandinavia.
