The Palestinian resistance movement described the move as a planned attempt to desecrate the sanctity of Al-Aqsa.

It is a shameless act within the framework of the Zionists’ plots to desecrate the holy place and advance their Judaization attempts, Hamas stated.

Ben-Gvir has on various occasion raided Al-Aqsa along with tens of illegal Israeli settlers under the protection of Zionist security forces.

Al-Aqsa Mosque is the world's third-holiest site for Muslims. Jews call the area the Temple Mount, claiming it was the site of two Jewish temples in ancient times.
