The two sisters named Renita and Fatima Nitai have emerged as prominent role models in Islamic education. They have turned their passion for the Holy Quran into an impactful educational project that has helped educate hundreds of children and raise a new generation of Quranic memorizers and enthusiasts of the Book of God.

This success is not accidental, but rather came through years of study and expertise in Quranic sciences, which led to the establishment of the “Little Quran Memorizers” Academy, which has become one of the most prominent Quranic initiatives for children in Kosovo.

The sisters grew up in a Quranic environment and began their educational journey at the Alaeddin Islamic High School in Pristina, affiliated with the Islamic Society of Kosovo. There, they excelled in Quranic studies and represented Kosovo in local and regional Quranic competitions.

The two sisters continued their education at the Faculty of Islamic Studies in Pristina, earning their master’s degrees. In 2024, they achieved one of their most important academic milestones when they received their permission in Quran recitation from Al-Azhar University.

The sisters are now continuing their academic journey by pursuing doctoral degrees, demonstrating their continued commitment to combining theoretical knowledge with practical application.

After years of academic study and training, the sisters founded the Little Memorizers Academy in Pristina, under the auspices of the Islamic Society of Kosovo. The academy serves as a specialized educational platform to teach children how to recite and memorize the Holy Quran correctly, using educational curricula that take into account age differences and individual abilities.

The academy has successfully attracted a large number of children and offers individual support and a variety of educational programs that help strengthen their connection with the Holy Quran and foster their all-round development.

What distinguishes the experience of these two sisters is that their project is not limited to memorization and recitation. Rather, it is based on linking the Holy Quran with everyday behavior and practical values ​​by instilling in children the concepts of honesty, trustworthiness, filial piety, cooperation and responsibility.

They also incorporate art and creative activities into the educational process through painting competitions, crafts and cultural programs that help children interact with Quranic values ​​in a practical and engaging way.

The sisters’ efforts were not limited to classroom teaching, but also extended to transforming Quranic education into practical community initiatives. Children participate in charity work, visits to needy families, and projects that promote the values ​​of solidarity, belonging, and service to the community.

This approach has transformed the Quranic values ​​that children learn into tangible daily actions that have gained widespread appreciation in the community.

This initiative is a successful model for Muslim women in Kosovo. They have combined higher academic education, Islamic studies, educational work, and social initiatives, transforming Quranic knowledge into a practical project to serve new generations.

Thanks to this success, the “Little Memorizers” Academy has become a shining example of the ability of Islamic educational initiatives to raise a generation that combines Quran memorization with ethics, a sense of belonging, and social responsibility.
