Famous Egyptian Qari Lauds Quranic Activities of Karbala Holy Shrine

IQNA – Sheikh Abdel Fattah Tarouti, a prominent Egyptian qari and judge of Quran competitions, praised the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine for supporting Quranic activities.

Tarouti, who is the deputy head of the Egyptian Quranic Reciters Association, stated that the Astan’s support for Quran memorization programs and campaigns is a great message with a global impact that helps spread the light of the Holy Quran throughout the world.

He made these remarks at the International Quran Week program organized by the Astan with the participation of 30 countries, Al-Kafeel reported.

When the Astan of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine supports Quran memorization campaigns and projects, it helps spread the light of the Quran, which is imbued with the fragrance of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), throughout the world, Tarouti said, adding that it is a great message that everyone should understand.

This role demonstrates a high level of attention to the Book of God and service to its bearers, he said, noting that the support shows the utmost respect and honor for the Holy Quran and embodies the meaning of love for the Prophet (PBUH) and his pure family.

The Astan pays great attention to the Holy Quran and its sciences by supporting various Quranic projects that target the keepers of the Book of God, as well as by supporting reciters in Iraq and the Islamic world. These efforts include holding Quranic gatherings, launching specialized courses, supporting international competitions, and hosting Quranic delegations from different countries.

The fifth Karbala International Award in the field of Quran recitation and memorization and other Quranic events are part of the International Quran Week organized by the Astan.

These competitions will continue until the end of the International Quran Week on June 11, at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS).
