TEHRAN (IQNA) – A documentary film about Islamic calligraphy has made it to the RAM international film festival in Italy.

Made in 2019, Noghteh (dot) has been directed by Amir Valinezhad and supported by Ibn Sina Foundation.

It premiered at the Viva international film festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2020 and won the third rank.

It also came second in the Moscow international film festival after competing with over 600 films.

The documentary was filmed in Iran, Russia and Turkey and its production took over a year to complete.

RAM – Rovereto. Archeologia. Memorie film festival is annually held in Italy in autumn. This year’s edition is slated for September 28 t0 October 2.

It showcases new and attractive films about world heritage, history and culture.

In order to introduce Islamic arts to Russians, the Ibn Sina Foundation has also published a number of books in the Russian language.
