Iranian Officials Join Millions at Funeral Procession for Martyred Leader
Among those attending the ceremony were President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Central Bank Governor Abdolnasser Hemmati, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Seyed Mohammad Atabak, Secretary of the Guardian Council Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, Head of the Expediency Discernment Council Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani, Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, IRGC Quds Force Commander Brig. Gen. Esmail Qaani, and Minister of Cultural Heritage Reza Salehi Amiri.
The funeral procession is being attended by millions of Iranians in the capital, Tehran.
Following the ceremony in Tehran, the body of the martyred Leader is scheduled to be taken to Qom, Najaf, and Karbala, for funeral processions before being laid to rest near the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad.
