11th Quranic Festival of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences Concludes
The closing ceremony of the Quranic Festival of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences was held Friday night, September 6 in Mashhad.
According to IQNA’a Khorasan Razavi branch, 1500 of the university’s staff and families who had participated in the festival were attending the closing ceremony at Martyr Hasheminejad Hall of Imam Reza (AS) Hospital.
After recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, Mehdi Gholami-Moqaddam, secretary of the festival, addressed the ceremony, presenting a report about the event.
He said the 11th edition of the Quranic Festival was held for the university’s staff and their families with the cooperation of seminary and university scholars.
Mr. Gholami-Moqaddam noted that the festival aimed to use the opportunity of summer holidays to promote the teachings of the holy Quran among the university personnel and their family members.
He said the festival was held in different categories including recitation of the Quran, painting, story-telling, etc.
Hojat-ol-Islam Ghassem Souri, Deputy Head of the Supreme Leader’s Office in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences also addressed the ceremony, highlighting the fact that the Holy Quran provides humanity with the guidelines needed to reach salvation.
