Friday Prayers, Venue for Fostering Culture of Taqwa (God-fearing)

Head of the Policy-making Council of Friday Prayers Leaders Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Reza Taqavi said Friday prayers is a venue for promoting the culture of Taqwa (God-fearing).



Addressing the 22nd convention of the country’s Friday prayers leaders in Tehran on Tuesday, September 10, he added that Friday prayers also helps to strengthen people’s political insight.


He noted that Friday leaders play an important role in enhancing unity in society, preventing corruption and curbing social crises.


Hojat-ol-Islam Taqavi underlined that Friday prayers leader can be the flag-bearers of spreading the Islamic style of life in society.


Also speaking at the event was Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani who said many challenges in the society originate from the Western style of life.


He said the Western modernity and this style of life have been imposed on oriental countries by the West intentionally.


Ayatollah Larijani urged for studying the foundations and origins of the West’s cultural onslaught an also presenting the Islamic and religious lifestyle to the society.
