11th Edition of Women Quran Researchers Congress Slated for November

Managing Director of Imam Reza (AS) Institute said the 11th International Women Quran Researchers Congress will be held in November.



Speaking to IQNA, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Abdollahian said the institute will organize the 11th edition of the congress in the holy city of Qom.


He said the international Quranic event is annually organized to create a venue for exchange of views and ideas among women Quran researchers from Iran and other countries.


Hojat-ol-Islam Abdollahian noted that 28 Quran activists, 20 Iranian and 8 from other countries, will be honored at the congress.


He said these women are active in the fields of Quranic studies, arts, recitation, memorization, Quran instruction and serving as jury members in international Quran competitions.


According to the official, the theme of this year’s congress will be the concepts of the Surah Yasin of the Holy Quran.


He added that the International Women Quran Researchers Congress is held by the Women Quran Researchers Cultural Center in cooperation with the Imam Reza (AS) Institute and a number of the country’s Quranic organizations.
