Iranian Quran Reciters’ Presence in Holy Land Foils Anti-Shia Propaganda

Sending Iranian Quran reciters and memorizers to the Holy Land during Hajj would foil the enemies’ anti-Shia propaganda.

Prominent Iranian Quran reciter Seyyed Javad Sadat-Fatemi made the remark in an interview with IQNA’s Khorasan Razavi branch, adding that under the influence of such propaganda, people in some Muslim countries think Shia Muslims have a Quran different from that of other Muslims.

He said the best time and place for thwarting the anti-Shia misinformation is during the Hajj season in the Land of Revelation where Muslims from all over the world gather to perform Hajj.

Sadat-Fatemi noted that he has taken part in the Noor Convey (Iranian Quranic convoy to Hajj) several times, and has witnessed how the beautiful Quran recitations by Iranian Qaris have surprised Muslims from different countries who had been under the influence of anti-Iranian and anti-Shia propaganda.

He described the Holy Quran as the common language among all Muslims that helps to uphold unity and solidarity in the Muslim Ummah.

He added that Iranian Quranic representatives in Hajj can promote the Shia culture and familiarize other Hajj pilgrims with the culture of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).

They can also promote the Quranic culture and acquaintance with the Book of God among Iranian pilgrims, Sadat-Fatemi went on to say.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Sadat-Fatemi referred to the characteristics required for members of the Noor Convoy, saying that the Qaris, memorizers, or Tawasheeh (religious songs) groups selected to join the convoy, ought to have high skills in their field to have an influential performance.
