14th Session of Assembly of Experts Opens in Tehran
The 14th session of the Assembly of Experts has opened under the presidency of Chairman Ayatollah Mahdavi-Kani.
It opened on Tuesday, September 3, at former premises of the Majlis and will run for two days.
At the beginning of the session, Ayatollah Mahdavi-Kani delivered the opening address after recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.
Then the closed session continued with speeches by some of the assembly members.
Commander of the Quds Force Major General Ghassem Soleymani is to attend the session as a special guest.
On the second day, President Hassan Rohani will address the 14th session of the Assembly of Experts and then the session concludes on Wednesday evening by issuing the final statement.
Members of the Assembly of Experts will visit the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA) on Thursday, September 5, to pay tribute to the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran. They will then meet with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei.
