Imam Reza (AS) University and Kazemayn’s Holy Shrines to Cooperate

An agreement was signed between Imam Reza (AS) International University and astan (custodianship) of the holy shrines in Kazemayn, Iraq.



Hamidreza Mirzayi, chancellor of the university said that an effective interaction has developed between officials of Astan-e Quds Razavi and custodians of the holy shrines in Kazemayn and expressed hope that the cooperation will bear significant fruits.


Development of scientific, educational and cultural relations including establishment of a center for joint cooperation in Kazemayn, equipment of educational centers in the city and holding short term educational courses for the staff of the holy shrines in Kazemayn were included in the agreement.


The two parties also agreed to hold online courses on Persian language as well as courses on management of religious sites based on the rules and regulations of the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.


The custodian of Kazemayn holy shrine said that the university and Astan-e Quds Razavi provide effective cooperation to the custodianship of the holy shrines in Iraq.


He expressed hope that making use of the valuable experiences of the two astans will develop and the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) will be promoted in the country.


The Iraqi officials were invited by the international university to make a pilgrimage trip to the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad. They also learned about the programs and activities of Astan-e Quds Razavi in various fields.
