Betraying Homeland Is a Crime against Religion

Bahraini Cleric

Senior Shia cleric Allameh Sayyed Abdullah Al-Qarifi said betraying the homeland is a crime against religion, too.

In his Friday prayer sermon at Imam Sadeq (AS) Mosque in Manama, he added that sectarianism is un-Islamic in all its forms, Sawt-al-Manama website reported.

He said the whole world is witnessing the Al Khalifa regime is spreading sectarianism in the country although the regime claims its policies are not sectarian.

He criticized the Bahraini’s regime’s move to declare the Shia Scholars Council as illegal, saying that even if the regime can shut down the council’s headquarters it is still in the hearts of thousands of Bahrainis.

Allameh Al-Qarifi rejected the regime’s assertion that the council has sectarian agenda and works against national unity, underlining that sectarianism is anti-religion.

He challenged the Al Khalifa regime to present proof that Bahrain’s Shia Scholars Council is Sectarian.

In other news, Bahrain’s monarch Hamad Bin Issa Al Khalifa is said to have met with former Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak in Cairo.

The website of Bahrain’s February 14 Coalition condemned the meeting that it said took place on Friday morning, October 4.

The coalition said the meeting was part of a new plot against the Egyptian nation hatched by leaders of a number of Arab countries.
