Quranic Officials Urged to Support Charter of Quranic Culture Development

The country’s Quranic officials should support implementation of Charter of Quranic Culture Development.

Head of the Iranian Academics’ Quranic Activities Organization Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mehdi Taqavi made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that they should not allow differences of opinion to slow down the implementation of the charter.

He said the charter is an overall plan for Quranic activities in the country and one that can organize all of the country’s Quranic capacities in a specified framework with specified objectives.

According to Hojat-ol-Islam Taqavi, the charter may prove to need some amendments after some time but those amendments should be introduced after careful consideration.

He said introduction of the charter has already paved the way for development of Quranic activities in the country and that establishment of the Quran and Etrat Deputy in the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance is one of the outcomes of implementation of the charter.

He underlined that reviving the charter is a necessary step for the success of all Quranic programs and activities in the country especially programs with long-term objectives.

The cleric noted that reviving the charter will also result in the reviving of universities, academic centers, schools and education centers and that it can pave the way for introducing the prospective of the new Islamic civilization to the world.
