2200 Registrations for Talawat Nat’l Quranic Plan
Some 2200 individuals have signed up for the Talawat Quran recitation plan, secretary of the committee for implementing the plan said.
Hojat Rahimzadeh told IQNA that the Culture Ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy has organized the plan in line with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s emphasis on learning the Quran by heart and promotion of Quran recitation.
He said the plan has started in 16 provinces of the country and will be held in other provinces as well.
He added that the cities of Mashhad, Hamedan, Kashan, and Ardebil had the highest number of participants in the plan.
Rahimzadeh noted that talented teenagers who take part in the plan are selected to attend courses taught by prominent recitation masters.
An examination will be held by late October, he stated, adding that the classes will started in November and continue until March, 2014.
