Kazan Opens the IX Intl. Muslim Film Festival
IX International Muslim Film Festival is underway Kazan and will end on September 11. The forum is attended by filmmakers from Russia, Europe, Asia and CIS countries.
For prizes in the main competition of the festival will be fighting 50 films: 20 feature films, 20 documentaries and 10 animated films. Represented by a long and short films. There were examined in total 450 applications filed in 54 countries around the world.
Assessing the picture will be authoritative international jury, chaired by famous film director Karen Shakhnazarov. For spectators the organizers have prepared parallel cinema program.
The guests of honor of the IX Kazan Film Festival will be the Polish director Krzysztof Zanussi, actor and film director Vladimir Menchov, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Valentine Talyzina, Shamil Khamatov actor, dancer Andris Liepa and others.
