Ma’aref Radio to Cooperate with Sierra Leone's Radio
Neday-e Eslam Channel of Ma’aref Radio will cooperate with Sierra Leone’s Shia Radio channel to disseminate Ahl-ul-Bayt’s (AS) teachings.
According to the public relations of Ma’aref Radio, directors of the Shia radio channel and some cultural officials from Sierra Leone visited the Iranian Radio station and asked for the cooperation between the two channels.
The officials of Neday-e Eslam channel have provided the staff of the new Shia channel with preliminary educational services and specified over 3000 minutes to the radio to broadcast programs on Muslim family, the youth, awakening, etc. in Sierra Leone.
Hamed Husseiniyan, director of Ma’aref Radio welcomed the visitors and appreciated their efforts in dissemination of Shia teachings.
He stressed the necessity of cooperation among all of the relevant institutions to introduce the school of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) to the world and added that the Iranian radio will continue its cooperation with the Shia radio channel.
Ibrahim Baw, director of the Sierra Leone Radio, also thanked the Iranian officials for their cooperation and the valuable programs they specified to be aired via the radio channel.
He said that since the freedom of speech has been developed in his country, the society has the potential to get acquainted with Shia beliefs.
Referring to various radio channels actively involved in disseminating Salafism and Wahhabism in the society, he stressed that establishment of a channel which introduces the noble Islam was necessary in this country.
He then asked for cooperation of the Iranian officials to solve various problems in this respect, including lack of experts in religious issues and technical requirements.
The director noted that the influential programs of the Iranian radio channel aired in Sierra Leone have been very well received since the beginning of the newly established radio's activities and added that the radio owes its success to the Neday-e Eslam channel.
