A delegation from Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine is on a visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.



In meeting with a number of cultural and scientific officials, the delegation invited them to take part in the second International Festival of Qadir, Noon website reported.


The second edition of the festival is scheduled to be held on October 24, concurrent with the Eid Al-Qadir, in the holy city of Najaf.


Faeq Al-Shimri, head of the information dissemination department of the Astan, said the delegation is in Iran to exchange ideas with Iranian religious and cultural institutions about organizing the Qadir festival.


Al-Shimri stated that the delegation will make a similar visit to Lebanon in the near future.


Ali Khizr Haji, member of the Astan’s administrative council, said the delegation has discussed different aspects of the festival with Iranian cultural and scientific figures.


He added that it has also made agreements for publishing copies of Nahj-ul-Balaqa based on the manuscript copy belong to the year 1416 A.D.
