More than 25 Palestinian young men suffered bullet and tear gas injuries during violent clashes on Tuesday afternoon with Zionist troops.

The clashes took place in Bab Azzawiya area and Shalala street in central Al-Khalil, which has seen unprecedented security and military measures following the killing of an Israeli soldier near the Ibrahimi Mosque.

Eyewitnesses told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) used live bullets during their attacks in Bab Azzawiya and Shalala and deployed some snipers on roofs, pointing that the Fatah-affiliated security forces tried to suppress many angry young men and prevent them from reaching the areas of events, but they failed.

Meanwhile, similar clashes also broke out between young men and Israeli soldiers near the entrance to Al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of Al-Khalil.

Eyewitnesses reported that the IOF established military checkpoints in different areas of Al-Khalil.
