Speaking in a meeting with the holy city’s new mayor, the grand source of emulation said Qom is the city of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) and a great base for Islam.
He referred to the presence of the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) and the holy mosque of Jamkaran in Qom, stressing that the more progress the city makes the better.
The grand Ayatollah said it is a great responsibility to work in Qom, the Haram (sanctuary) of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
He underscored that more efforts should be made to introduce to the society the great figures of the city who have presented valuable services to Islam.
