Iranian Noor Convoy’s presence in Hajj is a manifestation of the country’s efforts in Quranic fields, a prominent Qari told IQNA.

Mohammad Hossein Sabzali said the presence of the Iranian Quranic convoy in the Land of Revelation (Makkah and Medina) will show to those who consider their Quran different from that of Iranians that they are wrong.

He said the convoy’s trip to the holy land is the best way to demonstrate Iran’s Quranic endeavors and show to Muslims from other countries that Iran is a leading country in terms of Quranic activities.

Sabzali, who has been a member of the Noor Convoy for ten years, said the sessions held during hajj with the participation of elite Iranian Qaris and Quran memorizers are always received very well by pilgrims from different countries.

He added that the convoy’s Quranic programs in the past years have helped to defuse anti-Shia and anti-Iranian propaganda spread by the Wahabis.

The Quranic figure noted that Quranic programs held at Masjid Al-Haram, Makkah, are the most influential ones during Hajj because they are attended by Muslims from all over the world.

Every year, a convoy of Quran activists including Qaris, memorizers and Tawasheeh (religious song) groups from Iran is sent to the holy cities of Makkah and Medina to hold Quranic programs during the Hajj season.
